Adventures in Knitting

I have started the Adult Surprise Jacket created by Elizabeth Zimmerman. We are all knitting this together through the ASJ group on Ravelry.

I'm using Paton's Classic Wool in Dark Grey as the main color and using Classic Red and a Natural as accents. Mine is based on a 24" back and a cast on of 360 stitches. I have knit the jacket to the beginning of the increases. Having had cataract surgery this morning there will be no knitting until I get my new glasses.

I have knit both the baby surprise and adult jackets and am currently teaching the adult sweater at my local quilt shop.

The best advice I can give is swatch until you get the fabric you want. When you measure your 4 inch swatch be sure and count the fractions of stitches. You really don't want to do all this work and not have it fit!
